Jean Blais founded Banyan Chains in September of 1992. Drawing on solid experience with Jeffrey Rader® wood hogs and electromagnetic vibrating feeders he acquired as a production manager, he quickly carved out a place on the market to serve a vast clientele.

In July of 2014, François Lavigne and Claude Hamel bought the company to ensure its longevity. François Lavigne is the president and Mr. Blais stayed on as an advisor.
